Profile of the Mayor
Profile of Mayor, Cllr. Maditswako Theresia Mokoena
Honourable Mayor Mokoena was born on the 29th June 1981 in Mamafubedu, Petrus Steyn. She started her Primary education at Mamafubedu Primary School. After completing her grade 12 at Lindley High School in 2000, she enrolled at Motheo FET College, where she obtained her N5 Human Resources Management National certificate.
She became actively involved in politics from an early age. She served in the ANC Free State provincial youth structures as an additional member. She is currently serving as a Deputy Chairperson of the Thabo Mofutsanyana Region Women’s League and she is also a member of the Regional Executive Committee in the Thabo Mofutsanyana. She is currently serving as the LET deputy coordinator. She became a councillor in Nketoana Local Municipality from 2011 and in 2016 she was elected as the current Mayor of the Municipality.
